Surface Modification Technologies

Surface Engineering is a new scientific field but full of potentials in practice because it can solves a lots of challenging problems of advanced engineering including enhancing the performance of machinery components, the efficiency of the use of energy and expensive materials in manufacturing. This paper introduces several advanced technological surface methods, their applications in industry today and some research results of the authors in the field of Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD coatings).
