Simulation of flow around an aircraft model using computational fluid dynamics method over body-fitted curvilinear coordinates

A developing modern trend in simulation of flow is to predict realistic engineering flows by solving Navier- Stokes equations (Computational Fluid Dynamics or CFD method). In this study, based on method for solution of incompressible Navier-Stokes equations in three-dimensional curvilinear structured grids and numerical code of the method are also developed, the simulations of the flow around an aircraft model have been performed by solving incompressible Navier-Stokes equations in three-dimensional body-fitted curvilinear coordinates. The application has shown the effectivity of the method.
