Wastewater from tuber-processing plant has low COD level ranging from 800mg/l to 2000mg/l. In order to have an effective and energy-efficient treatment system toward sustainable development, it is relevant to do research on the use of biological treatment for this wastewater type. The oxygenated biological treatment system - AEROTEN - is the most efficient when COD load and biomass in the AEROTEN treatment plant are known. The results of the experiment with a fixed biomass from 1500 to 1700 mg/l, and the COD level of influent fluctuating from 800 to 1400mg/l indicate that the treatment system has its best efficiency at COD levels of influent ranging from 900 to1000mg/l.
