Optimal calculation of total transmission ratio of three step helical gearboxes for minimum mass of gears

The article presents a new method for optimal calculation of the total transmission ratio of three-step helical gearboxes for munimum mass of gears. In the paper, basing on the moment equilibrium condition of mechanic system including the three gear units and their regular resistance condition, the authors have presented a method for calculation the ratios of the three steps. In particular, formulas for rapidly predicting the transmission ratios of steps were built.
