Influence of coolant fluid and method on tool wear, tool life and the surface roughness in slot machining using end mills

This paper presents results of an investigation on minimum coolant technique in producing slots using end mills. The results have highlighted prominent advantages of the new method compared to conventional coolant techniques. It has been found that vegatal oil available in Vietnam is not only excellent coolant material but also a healthy and environmental-friendly matter.
