The features of frictional interactions on rake face of PCBN turning tools used in precision cutting is very important in temperature, wear and tool life. The research results showed that the sliding of work materials was evident in the vicinity of the cutting edge resulting in the change of the nature of frictional interactions in the region and this can be a reason for the information of the white chip tool contact length. These phenomena are very special compared with the normal cutting process causing a change of the wear mechanism on the rake face.
