Glass fiber reinforced plastic (GFRPs) have been applied widely, especially in aerospace and transmission industry, etc, because they have many advantages such as high toughness, light weight and other important properties. This material can be machined by cutting methods. However, effects of cutting conditions on cutting tools' lifetime and machined surface quality have not been investigated completely. This article focuses on the cutting speeds' affect on roughness of the GFRPs turned surface.
