Determination of tool life by simultaneous evaluation of appearing norms during and after the grinding process

Grinding wheel life is one of very important technical and economic norms in grinding operation. There are many available methods to evaluate life of the grinding wheel. In this paper, the authors suggest a method to determine life of the grinding wheel by simultaneous evaluation of many appearing norms in and after the grinding process. The research results will contribute in enhancing accuracy, reliability, and flexibility when determining life of the grinding wheel and also play a basic role for automation of the grinding process.
