Cost calculation for Abrasive Recycling and for AbrasiveComparing for Abrasive Waterjet (AWJ) Cutting Systems

This paper introduces a new study on the calculation of the cost of recycled abrasives and the total cost when cutting with new and recycled abrasives in AWJ machining. In the study, many cost components such as machine depreciation cost, labor cost, power cost and so on were taken into account for both calculations the recycled abrasive cost and AWJ cutting cost. In addition, a comparison of the effectiveness of two famous recycled systems was presented. Moreover, some designing suggestions for a new effective recycling system were introduced. A procedure for cost comparison between recycled and new abrasives as well as between two new abrasives was also proposed.
