Calculate and design of turning appliance for machining a cylinder cam of pill press machines

After a given working duration, cylinder cams of pill press machines are mainly broken down due to an excessive wear of raising lines for upper punches in this set. This subject may lead to stuck and destroy the upper punches, and then it has a serious influence on a stable working state of the machine. In this set, raising details are usually broken down and are the most difficult parts for re-fabricating. Forming these parts can be implemented by specialized appliances in accordance with universal turning machines. A setting fundamental of geometrical relations between the raising details and turning appliances applied on universal lathes is presented in this paper. Mechanical enterprises can be able to use these calculated results to fabricate easily substitutions with acceptable production costs.
