This paper presents results based on the development of the similitude, modeling and dimensional analysis to study paper disc refiner machines. Based on the assumption of considering pulp mass motion as similar to the resistance aganst the motion in viscous liquid, equations predicting the motion of the disc refiner model as the Nayier-stockes diferential equation derived from the equation of liquid dynamaics have been established. Results from the experiment analysis have significantly facilitated the calculations for determining a range of disc refiners with different power consumptions.
