A new study on optimization of abrasive blasting systems

This paper presents a new study on optimization of abrasive blasting systems. In this paper, a mult-objective optimization problem (with the multiple objective consists of two single objectives including the maximum profitrate and the minimum cleaning cost) for finding the optimum exchanged nozzle diameter is introduced. Many process parameters such as the initial nozzle diameter, the air pressuare, the cost components and the nozzle wear are investigated in the optimization problem. Based on the results of the problem, a regression model for determining the optimum exchanged nozzle diameter is proposed.
