A method to improve the performance of transmission gears with backlash

Transmission gears with backlash is a new term appeared in recent years. This is a mechanical mess of interest between the active and the passive. Backlash can lead to problems such as instability, unwanted noise and vibration. In this report, we propose a new method to build a model of transmission gears with backlash. We limit our study on spur teeth, spur wheel. It is shown that the mathematical model can be used to find novel and effective solutions to minimize effects of backlash on transmission gears with backlash.
